The pregnancy overdrive

Looking at what the gossip magazines seem to be covering at the moment, many seem to be talking about the celeb baby boom – although I question if one even exists or whether it is all just media hype (then again what isn’t these days?).

No doubt they are all saying Jessica Simpson is pregnant – she isn’t nor did she ever hint at being, the media just started talking about how it would top Britney’s baby news and things just went from there.

Britney Spears’s pregnancy has caused a lot of gossip by itself. First she is so close to losing her baby that she has been placed in round the clock medical care next she and Kevin are out shopping. And don’t even get me started on the taking a break from the career then announcing another three album deal with Jive records.

That said, Britney isn’t the only one who has been knocked up. Michelle Branch announced back in February that she is expecting, Amy Brenneman of Judging Amy fame is also due in a few months and even Paris Hilton as suggested she might join in the fun soon too.

For that matter even Jordan is pregnant but then again A) she has been pregnant before and B) absolutely nobody cares. I mean she even got the date wrong – by several months. How does that happen?

Still there is certainly something going around. And one thing can be sure – there is going to be plenty more media speculation about it all. My bets would be on them calling either Avril Lavigne, Jason Priestly or Katie Holmes pregnant next ;).
