Hilary Ann Duff was born on September 28th 1987 in Houston Texas. She began performing at an early age with the Columbus Ballet Met touring production of The Nutcracker. After landing a role in TV commercial she decided to become an actress and began heading to auditions.
At the age of nine she made her first acting performance in the TV movie True Women. Her first major role didn't come until she landed the starring role in when Casper met Wendy in 1998. In 2000 she was given the starring role in her own TV series, Lizzie McGuire. The series was an instant hit and propelled her career. The show also sparked a movie which grossed a remarkable $42 million.
After a number of other movies including the successful Agent Cody Banks and Cheaper by the Dozen, Hilary focused on her music career along with even more movies of course. Her singles come clean and so yesterday went straight into the top 40.
Her first album "Metamorphosis" went in at 2 on the Billboard 200 and eventually rose to number 1 in the following week. The album has sold over 2 million copies. Her latest album, titled Hilary Duff came in at 2 on the Billboard 200.
When she gets some free time, Hilary takes an interest in several charities such as Kids with a Cause. In the little spare time she has left after that, she enjoys spending time with her friends, tae-bo, swimming and many other things.
